4 days, 4 lakes – the professional SUP BOX guides/scouts will take you to the most magnificent places of the Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Attersee and Mondsee! This SUP Safari will offer you the unique opportunity to admire and explore the lakes from a picture-postcard view accompanied by SUP-experts.
The founder of SUP BOX Rainer Schmid will be one of the instructors during this discovery tour. He will provide you with his expert tips and tricks! Also, stand-up paddleboarding is so much more than just gliding over water – it enables physical activity in fantastic nature and a feeling of freedom on the water. We are very much looking forward to exploring and rediscovering the selected lakes of the Salzkammergut together with you!

Start at 3pm. Get-together at the Sport Cafe at Hotel Jakob in Fuschl am See introduction of the SUP BOX team and to the tour program.
Afterwards we start our first stage of the SUP Safari Salzkammergut at the private hotel beach!
The Fuschlsee is an insider tip amongst the SUP paddlers in the Salzkammergut. The crystal-clear water has drinking-water quality and shimmers in a turquoise color. If one glimpses from the SUP to the bottom of the lake it feels like one is hovering across the water. We will paddle along the picturesque Fuschlsee shore in the direction of the well-known Hotel Schloss Fuschl where the famous Film “Sissi” was produced and where presidents, kings and stars holiday. Then we will paddle back to our starting point on the opposite lakeside. During our first tour we will experience lovely bays, some of them only accessible via SUP. Weather permitting, we will of course stop for a swim.

Content: Introduction to the world of SUP, safety aspects whilst paddling, paddle techniques, information about protected areas of the lake, first paddling as a team and exploring along the shore of the Fuschlsee.
Dinner: we will be spoiled with a delicious dinner at Hotel Jakob

Stand-up paddling on the Wolfgangsee will give you the opportunity to paddle on purest water seemingly shimmering in Caribbean colours along an idyllic landscape.
After an extensive breakfast we go to Wolfgangsee. Our 2nd day turn will start at the Waldbad in Fuerberg and paddle in the direction of the Ochsenkreuz, which is a wayside shrine erected on a little island – it is a popular photo stop during the SUP adventure at Wolfgangsee. After taking a souvenir photo we will paddle along the imposing Falkensteinwand, which protrudes nearly 200m almost vertically from the lake upwards and where professional cliff divers compete at cliff jumping.
At our second stage of the SUP Safari, we will meet several little dreamy bays where we will have a break – and of course there will be time to have a swim.
After a refreshment break, we will paddle to St Wolfgang navigating in the direction of the significant St Wolfgang church (world famous heritage site) during which we will pass the narrowest part of the Wolfgangsee which is only 200m wide.
Arriving in St. Wolfgang we will have lunch together at a local Bistro and before going back by ferrie, you may have time to visit the lovely village of St. Wolfgang.

After arriving at the starting point we drive to our next stage - Attersee. There you will check in at the 4* Hotel Ragginger and will be spoiled with a delicious dinner. -
Having 46 square kilometre water surface the Attersee is the biggest lake in Austria – an Eldorado for sailors, water sport lovers and leisure lovers alike!
Hidden Bays, turquoise water and a wide range of leisure activities are tempting people from far and near to the Attersee. Even artists like Gustav Klimt and Gustav Mahler used the Attersee for inspiration during their summer holiday.
The Attersee is also called “the sea” of the Salzkammergut – with a length of 19km the lake suggests an infinite extension. Because of the light turquoise colour of the water paddling on the Attersee resembles a paddling tour in the Caribbean – only better - it is paddling on drinking-water. The turquoise water of the Attersee is due to the low nutrition content as well as the biological calcite precipitation (lime scale).
In comparison to the other lakes of the SUP Safari the visibility of the Attersee is nearly perfect because the mountains are gentler, and the view opens into the Upper Austrian hilly countryside.
Our SUP Safari tour with be adapted according to the weather conditions locally. During good weather conditions we will paddle from the Hotel beach long the shore to the underwater stilt houses then we will cross the lake to Weyregg where we will have lunch. After a refreshment we will return to the other side of the lake and on to our starting point.

Duration: ca. 3.h (without break)
Distance: between 8 and 10 kilometre (depending on tour)
Afternoon: In the afternoon you will have time for free to relax or explore the beautiful surrounding!
Dinner: another delicious dinner at the Hotel Ragginger -
After breakfast and check out at the hotel Ragginger we drive to our SUP BOX Station to lake Mondsee (15km).
The Drachenwand (nearly 1.200m high) and the majestic Schafberg provide for an impressive panorama and the unspoilt nature around the picturesque Mondsee will enable a real SUP adventure.
The name Mondsee today is thought to refer to its curved form resembling a halfmoon crescent. However, others believe that ancient settlers were worshipping the moon god lending the lake that name. One thing is for sure – a clear moon night at the Mondsee is something incredible.
During our last leg of the SUP Safari, we will explore one of the main Spots of the SUP BOX Team.
We will start at Loibichl at the Mondsee, crossing the lake to St. Lorenz, having Lunch in a cool Restaurapt and paddling back to the starting point by enjoying the marvellous surrouding!

After coming back, we take some time to we review the eventful days on the SUP and say THANK YOU for the unforgettable time!
